I do not believe so. I’m not saying they don’t exist, but I haven’t seen any, and I’ve looked at a few online university’s programs. Most of the Master’s degrees in education out there online are for people who are already certified to teach, and are looking for salary jumps. This is because (in my State at least) you have to do student teaching and have a certain number of observation hours to become a teacher, and online schools are often not centered in your State. Still, politicians are pushing for more alternate certification paths, and I think this will mean more online, certified education programs. That doesn’t mean that any will offer certification for Music teachers though. There isn’t quite the demand for music teachers as there is for classroom elementary, and secondary teachers.
